Guitar Amplifier attenuator's?

I await the arrival of a 2nd hand Marshall valve amp .. I'm also gonna buy a silencer, so I can play without getting a Asboe … I've looked on ebay and I'm Marshall power brakes for between 80-100 bucks … but there are cheaper alternatives to going under 15 … is there really any difference that was yesterday for Marshall, they surely do the same job … ? Much appreciated D

First you tell me what "Come a Asboe "means, LOL! anyway … your $ 15 unit may be different from a Marshall powerbrake. Is not it powerbrake inserted between the speaker and other speakers themselves? Some of these other smaller / cheaper units were made to be inserted into an effects loop – contolling significant power section, but not quite the same. You should check that ..
