What should my new wood furniture to Be?

Well, I am redecorating my room and I hate my furniture. The walls will be bloody red. Comforter of my bed is also red. The sheets and curtains are black, and I have My Chemical Romance, Eclipse (Stephanie Meyer), and Nightmare Before Christmas posters everywhere. I want a dark wood, almost red, but a red-brown. I'm looking for something cheap, and I need it to be strong because it has to keep clothes, a TV, iHome, and my guitar books.

Black cherry is a beautiful, reddish-dark brown. It is not cheap. Look in the 2nd hand shops.
