Make a guitar pedal?

Hey, I'm interested in making a guitar footswitch for my Marshall mg 30dfx amp, all I want is a button footswitch to change between clean and distortion, I would appreciate a tutorial and / or wiring.

So you will not have a footswitch to all … you want a Fuzz box (which is controlled by a footswitch usually) there are many functions that a footswitch control. The old copies (many years) of Practical Electronics and then Everyday Elecrtronics used to make these all the time .. I guess the best place today is Maplin – either in kit form or completed. Everything you do, is to design / build an amplifier which is exaggerated (and now would be devastating for a speaker) and softening / filtration by hard edges produced to ensure that the amplifier / speaker is safe in production .. . and ear finds it acceptable, too. Google "fuzz box" and you'll find anywhere people's home brew design also.
