what are the parts in the schematic that I need?
see: http://soft.com.sg/forum/gear-guitar/41452-repairing-spoilt-ebow.html and http://www.electro-music.com/forum/phpbb-files/ebow_amp_116.gif I 've tried to make a bow maintain unity. These are pictures of the circuit and schematic. I have broadband and buzzer lm386 amp I was wondering what types of capacitors and resistors (+ anything else?) have shown that I need. I was in an electronics store and words such as radial and electrolytic kinda threw me off.
They two 10 and 220 microfarad (MF on the chart, but a more common convention is to write it as μF or uF, so there should not be confused with milifarad!) capacitors can be either of the electrolytic type or 'tantalum' type would be fine too. Radial / axial simply refers to how the pins come out of the package (for electrolytic capacitors, they are usually cylindrical cans, which looks a bit like a battery). The second capacitor (47nF or nanofarad) can only be a 'greencap' or a ceramic shape. The resistance may be a 1 / 4 watt type, it is not conclusive. Do not forget also that electrolytic and tantalum capacitors must be placed in the right way, or they explodes. The electrolytic capacitors usually have a very distinct markings on them that tell you where lead is negative. In the circuit diagram, the dark line is the negative side.
