guitar effects box

*** I have an electric guitar, amplifier and guitar effects processor / (pedal). *** Please Help Me?
With all these elements I have a cable that goes from guitar to amp. 1st) what type of cable should I use to play guitar effects box? 2nd) How do I connect all 3 things (guitar, effects, amp) together? the amplifier that I own, there are 2 holes, 1 says INPUT and the other has a small pic of a speaker! you set clear detail. thanks in advance
First make sure that the cables you have are shielded-sense center wire in the cable is surrounded by a woven (braided) looks wire, also known as musical instruments cable, as opposed to non-shielded cable used to connect the amp to speaker. Now with a shielded cable, connect the guitar to the input of field effect, with shielded cable, connect the output of the effects box to the input side of the amp. I would assume you need a separate speaker cabinet to connect the amplifier unless the second hole with pic of a speaker for additional speaker cabinet. To use the hole, use a non-shielded cable, commonly known as speaker cable for connecting speaker cabinet. All hole for the speaker cables have the standard 1 / 4 "mono plug (a given, but if you do not know, you know these things).
