How do I resolve a guitar pickup?
I recently bought a Gibson sonex-180 Deluxe Electric Guitar. but when I collected it and plugged it in Idiscovered bridge pickup was not working. I took it to my guitar teacher, and he helped me find that a pipeline from Coiling was broken. He told me that I could just solder it. with, I have 2 questions.how I solder it properly and how do I get the cloth away. it's a double humbucker pick up
Hey, Joe! If the broken wire is one of the small wires coming from the roller to meet with the greater conductivity of solder termination on pickup, I would not advise you do the job themselves. The coils are very fragile and require the utmost care in handling. Take it to a competent shop for repair. On the other hand, if one of the pipes leads from the pickup selector switch to be easily soldered back in place in the pickup, using a low-power (25-watts or less) soldering iron. You should not need to take the electrical (material) tape off to do this latter repair if I misunderstood where the breach has occurred (please note that if the protective tape is not removed very carefully, you can easily damage the windings). Let me know if I can help further. Best regards, Dana

Beginners and intermediates should find a resource designed for them, and leave advanced guitar lessons for later as they become more proficient. It is wise to start with something designed for your skill level, which makes guitar instruction more fun. Click Here For A Learn To Play Guitar Product Review
