Guitar Hero World Tour on PS3/PC Questions?

I have Guitar Hero World Tour on my PS3. it comes with a wireless USB adapter for the guitar. I also have Guitar Hero 3 on PC. can I connect my guitar to my PC and play Guitar Hero 3?

I do not think it will work, I have tried this with the Wii and Xbox 360, but only for different formats. the best thing to do is just try it and cross your fingers!
