How much should I make being a live out nanny for 2 kids?
I’m currently a nanny for a high end family, I make $285 a week and work 50+ hours a week.. The oldest is 7 and goes to private school where I pick her up a town away (25 miles round trip) and the youngest just turned 2, the mother expects me to have a curriculum for her and have interaction with other children her age when I do not really know anyone with kids her age.. also I use MY vehicle to do these things, plus I take them do things during the day (when the oldest is out of school) I will also be taking the oldest to guitar lessons 10 miles away from their home.. I also am required to clean some, take the children to dr appointments and so on..
My family and boyfriend think I should make $300+ a week…
any advice would be greatly appreciated.. I’m also a college student but currently taking the semester off cause I can’t afford it..
Minimum wage in the USA is 7.25 per hour. Any hours over 40 are overtime and time and a half.
For 40 hours, you should get 40x 7.25= 290 dollars
for those extra 10 hours you would be getting 1.5x 7.25 per hour=10.87 per hour.
so extra 108.7 dollars for hours 41 through 50.
So 50 hour week, at MINIMUM wage allowed by law you should be getting 398.7 dollars.
On top of that your employer should be paying for expenses like your gasoline.
I suggest you renegotiate that pay, or get better job, you are slaving for unreasonably low income.
The first step in learning the guitar is to determine your skill level. Beginners and intermediates should find a resource designed for them, and leave advanced guitar lessons for later as they become more proficient. It is wise to start with something designed for your skill level, which makes guitar instruction more fun. Click Here For A Learn To Play Guitar Product Review
