guitar nut replacement

Are there tuning keys vintage guitars like mine? I need replacement.?

Local music store guy told me no more tuning keys that I need, are available on the market. He wants to drill extra holes in my head. I rufused and he thinks I'm a wimp. Also on the front of the head, most guitars has a nut with machine head. Mine was round and smooth, not a nut. And cretain lost it! There is now a gaping hole !!!!!! I am sure that there are replacements available. First, go to a reputable shop and get them to look at it, if someone is losing parts of your vintage guitar, and thats a sign .. I would not let him change my strings or even drill on it! If it is not a name brand you may need to have no drill new holes as exact replacements may not be available. But you were smart by refusing to let them live away at it. Use the Internet, call shops, tell them exactly what you have.
