I am really dressing emo?

Today, my friends were all telling me that I was dressing emo. I do not think I dress emo its just that I was dressing, how I liked. I was wearing my school uniform (collared shirt and khaki shorts), which is really boring, so I thought I would spend some accesories. I had a headband with a big black bow on it, black converse hi tops, skull earrings, and my guitar pick necklace. I thought it was just kinda rockish but my friends were all as you look more emo than usual.

everything I could think of was the hot topic when I read your question. Now I think it is a gothic / emo / Wanna be rocker .. but I think if you have lost the earrings and necklace and had just the opposite and headband would be a cute outfit with out crying "I love Panic at the Disco and plastic jewelry on biker stuff! (Or I think biker stuff?) Is the rocker guys?"
