why my amp hums when I plug my guitar in?

I built this guitar from a guitar kit. a wired thing is when I touch a screw on the bottom (bridge?) pickup, it sums so much that you can hardly hear the guitar. it seems like if I put my hand on the strings, it goes down. wtf? help!

well if you have built it himself his most likely be a loose connection inside the guitar, or it may be a mistake with your lead or a fualt with your amplifier. I occasionly getting the sorta noise if the nut was I connect eladási in is loose, make sure thats tightened. Also test the with a new lead and perhaps a second amplifier, and if the problem persists you may have to undo your hard work, and make sure you have wired it correctly

Beginners and intermediates should find a resource designed for them, and leave advanced guitar lessons for later as they become more proficient. It is wise to start with something designed for your skill level, which makes guitar instruction more fun. Click Here For A Learn To Play Guitar Product Review
