What does it mean to run an electric guitar amp in stereo?

I play through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and a full pedal board setup. I drive my timed effects (delay, tremolo) through the preamplifier and exaggerated through the front. What does it mean to run an amp in stereo? Is it change the tone of the guitar / amp?

You can only run one "in" stereo (not through) if amp is designed to make it. That would mean at least two amplifiers and 2 speakers. Your Fender amp is not stereo, so you can not run a stereo rig with it alone. Now if you had another amp you could possibly have a stereo rig. On a extra component, you will need is some sort of delay, chorus, or other time-based power, which has a mono-input/stereo-out event. The advantages of playing a stereo guitar rig is: – The sound is spread out more – With the right direction (s), it can mimic the 2 guitars playing together – Allows panning effects, the disadvantages: – The sound is more scattered out (this is not always a good thing, especially in very heavy music) – More tools to drag around – Increased complexity of the setup is guitar rigs are one-box stereo solutions. Most digital modeling amps (once you get past the toy to them) offers stereo. The Line 6 Vetta II, I used are in stereo. On small stage, I will run it into a 2×12 cabinet in stereo. On the big stages, I'll bring out two separate 2×12 or 4×12 cabinets and put them on each side of the stage. With this setup, can I give the audience whiplash if I put a ping-pong delay!
