The problem Vid Guitar Rig and USB interface?

I have downloaded the trial version of guitar rig 3rd I bought a USB interface to put my guitar into it. It worked the first time I plugged it in after tweaking the settings a bit, but when I closed it out and opened it again, it gave me an error message saying that encountered a problem and needed to close and shut it out. It does not work when I remove the USB interface from my computer. Whats wrong?
