What to buy the guitar?

I know I'ma little early, but I like getting all my Christmas shopping done early. My boyfriend is a die-hard guitarist and I really want to get him something he will love and use when he plays guitar. I thought about getting him a personalized guitar strap, but I could not find one that I thought he liked. So I took it AmPlug. Is there anyone who has one and is it really a good gift? Anyone else have any ideas? He plays acoustic.

If he plays electric guitar, so I would get him an effects petal. I decent one will cost about $ 50 to $ 200 depending on how extensive the petal is. If I were you I would find out what type of music he plays and his favorite guitarist is. Take that information and go to a guitar shop. Ask a salesman what type of blade would help to create the same kinds of effects that are similar to the style and the guitarists he'd like. Sorry, did not know he played acoustic. You can get a capo, which is a unit that shortens the length of the strings to change the key. You can buy him a pack of strings he uses, or get him a lot of different string, so he can try out different brands (be sure to find out if he uses nylon or wound strings). You can get him a guitar stand, if he does not own one. If he not have a metronome to keep the beat or a guitar tuner then consider it. Last you can buy him a glass, if he likes blues or want to try something new.
