guitar tone knobs

I think my guitar tone is broken?
My guitar worked just fine until about 3 days ago I noticed that the tone knob took a little efffort to mute the sound all down. I switch between muffled and high winds all the time for heavy riffs and solo, but I think its broken. It tends to go under high gain (10). I do not care with great profit to the practice pinch harmonics and sweeping but I really need to dump the low riffs to make music.
Your question is so amateurish. You've probably poor equipment can not make decent sound. if you bought a guitar like this, just talk with your dealer about it. I do that with all my equipment, which may have problems (pedals, amps, etc.) just start to get better gear …. I use Mesa Trip Rect. with a Marshall 1960 B w / V30s Peavey 6505 + 120W head (with Marshall cab) Schecter Hellraiser C-1 FR Ibanez TS808 ISP Decimator …. and so on … and so on ….
