guitar wall hanger wood

Doesn’t guitars that use a combination of mahogany and maple wood stretch if hung on wall over time?

Wouldn’t the wood (mahogany/maple) stretch and/or be weakened if hung over a long period of time?
Thank you.
If you are going to leave the guitar hung as pictured for many years I’m sure it would not be the best way to display it to keep it in prime condition. A guitar holder which includes support on the bottom of the instrument would be better. But, in using a hanger as you referred to, I don’t think you’d have to worry about the wood stretching. I’d be more concerned about joints separating from continuous weight of the guitar………..but that too is going to take quite some time before it would happen.
If it’s to keep the guitar handy to play it frequently, I wouldn’t worry about it. If it’s a high value instrument that you want to display, I would find a more secure, sturdy form of displaying it.
Also, if you display or store a stringed instrument for periods of time you should loosen the strings so there is no tension. Tension over long periods of time warps the neck which throws off the pitch.
