EMG guitar pickups wiring problem?

I have a guitar with EMG pickups 81/85 that I wired in myself, they worked fine last Friday and today is now Wednesday, and my guitar does not work. cord was not plugged in, so I know the batteries are not dead (I had my friend put them on his tongue) and myself tried to put new in it, and nothing, it just the weak shitty tone of emgs without batteries in them, I check all the wires again and again and there is nothing wrong at all, myself Check connections on the harness for 9vs (I use the 18v mod) and goes to the right place, and there are little beads of metal, with wires attached to them, it does not mean that the solder are good. You can have what is called a cold solder connection that looks semi ok but is a crappy joint. It should not look dull and porous, with long ten * ts coming out. It should look shiny, without pores or small holes, and no long ti * ts sticking out from where you pulled the soldering iron away from the part. If the solder pulls away with iron, could you have a cold connection. This video talks about people bringing in the guitars they tried to work on, but failed to solder it correctly. Hopefully you do not cook your electronics by keep a low heat for a long time or something, instead of hot and fast soldering. Maybe this will video will help you make a better soldering job. You may have to unsolder your work and again let it. Http: / / www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oo7AKOdAP40
