Guitar Chords for Freshies -Simple guide for C,F and G

First off, First you need to sip in the words I need to tell you today for this purpose can help you a lot in mastering your very first chords. A Guitar could be played with single notes or chords; I’m going to educate you on the best way to play easy guitar chords to suit your needs as beginners.

It is advisable to remember these minor but important details in mastering chord reading.
A chord in the event you search it in google or other search engines, is consists of three or even more notes. If it’s fewer than that, then it’s not a chord! They ought to obviously be played together. To play a chord you need at least 3 notes to generate a chord. That has to be from your fingers, either from your right or left hand. Some individuals play with their feet but that could be pointless now would it not?

Anyways, continuing. A chord covers a root note, a third above the root and a fifth above the root. When you’re starting a chord along at the “C” note, it is a “C” chord. Hence the notes in a “C” chord are the root “C”, the third “E” and the fifth “G”. We get that by rising from the root alphabetically like this: “C”, “d”, “E”, “f”, “G”. You could find the notes in any chord this way. Most likely greatest  guitar chords for beginners is the C major and it is played along these lines:

1st string is open
2nd string, 1st fret. This is a “C” and is an octave (8 notes above) the root “C”. Played with the index (#1) finger
3rd string is open. This is the fifth, or “G”
4th string, 2nd fret. This is the third, or “E”. Played with the middle (#2) finger.
5th string, 3rd fret. This is the root “C”. Played with the ring (#3) finger.
6th string is not sounded. Whilst it is an “E”, it does not sound good with the chord, same goes with silenced.

Now draw the pick over the strings within the 5th string downward and take note of the sounds and exactly how they blend together. The notes are what we call harmonious. They sound nice together. You’ve got just played a C major chord. Discover how easy guitar chords for starters are? A bit of practice and you will probably play it perfect each time.

And the second two guitar chords for beginners in the key of C major are classified as the “F” and the “G”. The F major has got the notes F, A and C. The G major chord contains the notes G, B, and D. Notice how most of the chords retain the notes on the key of C?

Play the F chord like this:

1st string, 1st fret, index finger (F)
2nd string 1st fret, index finger (C). You can kind of lay your index finger across these strings.
3rd string, 2nd fret, middle finger (A)
4th string, 3rd fret, ring finger (F)
5th and 6th strings are not played.

The F chord is regarded as the most challenging chords for novices to master. The F chord is really a bare chord. A bare chord happens when one or two of your fingers are widely-used to press down multiple strings at a time. This can be extremely hard for a beginner as you need a lot of strength in your hands to acquire a clean sounding chord. I am not saying the fact that F chord is impossible; it really shows that it is important to practice and build strength in your hands.

Play the G chord like this:

1st string, 3rd fret, ring finger (G)
2nd string, open (B)
3rd string, open (G)
4th string, open (D)
5th string, 2nd fret (B)
6th string, 3rd fret (G)

Because you see, the G chord actually spans three octaves of the G and a couple octaves of the B. These should be practiced slowly and strummed to 4 times each. Start slow and build speed and dexterity, in addition try strumming these strings without considering them, this is the case for most amateurs to look at the strings while strumming them, try to sing along while you strum this strings. The better one does this steps the simpler it gets, and the faster you get a hang of it.

How in the world will I ever figure out guitar strumming?

I go to sites that show the lyrics and when to change chords above it but how am i supposed to figure out strumming patterns? i try to listen for them but most songs i cant even hear the guitar in and even when i can i dont get it. when i ask for up downs theres so many it wont fit in the time length for a chord. like for Mine by Taylor Swift the lyrics are “(C) Do you remember when we were (G)” And someone said the pattern was “DDUUDUUDUUDU” Thats not even enough time to do all that with one chord since it tells me to switch after 6 words!!! There’s even more rediculous ones ive seen. What am i missing here? do i just strum faster than i sing it?I took music class for years and still cant figure out times and notes that arent written and im still tone deaf. so how does the strumming thing work? (Sorry if this is in the wrong category i have dial up and it wont let me browse catagories. oh and also no videos because i have dial up)

I good way to figure it out is by ear, which I find far easier than reading it. All that DUDUDUDU garbage gets confusing sometimes, especially when it’s not matched up properly with the chords. And by the way, internet tabs are usually pretty inaccurate even with the people who wrote it say “it’s totally 100% accurate! I swear!” Blahblahblahwhatever dude. It’s best to try and find the official sheet music which includes tabs and chords. If you’re lucky you can find it for free, if not you’ll have to buy it. I never buy, so I just move on to a new song. But all I can say other than that is to try it by ear. Just do what sounds right. I’m only 14 myself, and I’ve been playing for three years now and teaching myself, so you just have to go with whatcha know. Other stuff isn’t always accurate- so just try by ear. :)
