ps2 guitar hero controller

If I get a PS2 to PS3 controller adapter, can I use my original PS2 Guitar Hero guitar on Rock Band for PS3??

I know you can use 360 guitar hero controllers for rock band 360. I also know you can use the PS3 Guitar Hero controllers for PS3 rock band. But if I want an extra guitar, I have to buy a PS3 Guitar Hero guitar by itself or can I use my old if I buy a PS2 / 3 controller adapter? no ????????????????

im sorry man, but im afraid you can not because Rockband is a game in itself it has nothing to do with guitar hero. you can not play with your original guitar on guitar hero 3 eather. (ps both are very good games.) gunnrunner58,
