when you use the converter to convert the PS2 controller for the PS3 will work for a guitar controller?

I do not want to spend more money on a guitar the Beatles played, so I was wondering if I buy one of these ps3 converters that allow you to use PS2 Controllers on PS3 which can allow me to use my PS2 controller?

My answer is actually the opposite. I had Guitar Hero 3 for PS3 (60GB backwards compatible one). I bought a couple of the PS2 version of Guitar Hero game ….. PS3 Guitar Controller will not work with PS2 games. Apparently the PS3 off the USB ports when playing PS2 games. Theoretically the PS2 controller to act as the USB ports are still power when playing PS3 games.
